| Colombia publishes 5G multiband spectrum auction rules
Spectrum MinTIC published the auction terms to assign spectrum in the 700 MHz, 1900 MHz, AWS, 2.6 GHz and 3.5 GHz bands. Licences will have a 20-year term and include specific coverage requirements for each spectrum block. MinTIC assigned a value to the coverage investments per block that can be discounted from the one-off spectrum fees. The spectrum fee will be paid in instalments until 2042. The auction is planned for 20 December 2023 while the formal assignment of the licences is planned for February 2024. |
