Digital Economy The German Federal Government decided that mobile network operators (MNOs) should stop using critical components from these vendors in the core network by the end of 2026. In the radio access network (RAN) MNOs will have to replace, by the end of 2029, the critical functions of network management systems (NMS) provided by these vendors with technical solutions from other vendors. MNOs would still be allowed to use antennas provided by Huawei and ZTE, as long as these vendors open their interfaces. |
