Telefonica sold its operations in Argentina and Colombia
Telecoms Telecom Argentina acquired all of Telefónica's Argentinian assets for US$1.245bn, including its fixed and mobile telephony and internet access operations. The Argentinian Government is analysing the transaction as it would reduce the number of mobile network operators from three to two. In Colombia,Telefonica reached a binding agreement to sell its operations to Millicom for US$ 400m, therefore merging Colombia's second and third-largest mobile network operators. |
