Media The text says that the impact of digital technology on the mental wellbeing of minors is "largely known" but, until enough research is conducted, it recommends preventive measures, such as regulating "practices already known to be addictive or manipulative". Interestingly, the Council says that these measures at the national level should focus not only on actions that restrict the use of digital technology for school children but rather to teach them to use these technologies responsibly. |

Global Trends While some markets, including Japan, Korea and Singapore have achieved near-universal gigabit coverage (over 90% of premises), other markets such as India and Türkiye remain at between 30% and 40% coverage.The differences in coverage reflect differences in economic circumstances, geographic factors and policy approaches, with the risk that competitive gaps between nations will widen.These are some of the findings from Cullen International's benchmark that assesses four aspects of gigabit networks : government targets and network availability; financial incentives for gigabit infrastructure and direct government intervention; pro-deployment policies and copper decomissioning strategies. |
